Julio Largente had a great year too

Our next Infinity Sounds show's host will be Julio Largente who we have had a conversation with about the past, the present and the future.

There's already just a few days left until Christmas. How are you preparing for Christmas?

Well i am always very excited about this time of the year, due to parties and people’s mood. We are all willing to enjoy beginning the new year with great energy.

People usually have some self-examination, kind of a self-rating at the end of the year. We think about what we have done well or bad during the year, what needs to be changed on. Have you ever asked yourself these quetions? Have you found the answers already?

Yes of course. I always try to look backwards to find out where am i standing at the moment. This year 2011 was a great year for me, with many many changes, almost a revolution to myself, so im very glad about it. I always tend to think that change, new starts, are very important for the creative process. We, as artists, must never give up on keeping developing our music, exploring, getting influenced and making more interesting stuff day by day. So i found myself into this process during whole 2011 and im really happy with it.

What positive things have happened to you this year?

Well i’ve travelled a lot, made my European Tour, met many friends, changed house, town, and and most important, found myself into music. Im making really interesting projects. Last year i was really disappointed with several aspects in music. But this year i found new sounds, no style classifications, great releases for my label, new great artists, making real melodic and emotional music, so im letting myself completely into that flow.

What are you proud of the most?

Im proud about having no restrictions in music making. It is very hard nowadays for artists and producers to get into business. But, as i really dont care about “business”, its really easy for me to explore different stuff.  I have no fix ideas about what kind of music should i make. So everytime is a new fresh start. I listen to every kind of music, Rock, Pop, and im not listening to electronic music almost during the whole day. In this way i keep myself influenced in other aspects, and keep away from making same kind of tracks over and over again. I think that influences are the key.

Last summer we had an interview with you before the Inifinity Sounds' birthday. That time you introduced your own label. How is it going? Is there any news about Opendeck Records?

Well Opendecks Records is another place from where i can express myself and i always try to release interesting new artists, usually very different in style from one release to the other, and that is the beautiful essence the label has. Soon we will be releasing Oosfera, a great new upcoming artist from Neuquen, Argentina. His music is really awesome and i consider him as one of the new generation real live artists in electronic music, playing all of his huge tracks.

Your work as a producer is just simply amazing. Are you working on new tracks nowadays?

Thank you :) Well yes, im always working on many projects at the same time, and they all go from deep progressive to techno, etc. It has to do with the influence at the moment, the mood, etc. I’ve been working on an album during the first part of this year but it is still not finished. So yes i always try to keep moving into music, planning releases, giving free downloads and stuff.

When is the new Julio Largente release?

Well i have many unfinished productions of my own and collaborations. So for sure during the first months of 2012 we will be having news.

You joined to the team of Infinity Sounds in October, with that you've become one of the hosts of the special edition. What plans do you have with the show?

The show is a great diffusion tool and JustMusic is simply awesome. So I just want to retrieve and give back some great energy i received from the radio and the crew while i was touring this summer, and thats why im very very glad to be part of the justmusic family. But I'm happy about the Xelestia too

Do you know where you will spend the New Year's Eve?

I will be spending NYE at the coast here in Argentina, where great parties are held, and people is really willing to have fun.

Thank you for your time and the conversation. Do you have something to say to the listeners of Justmusic.fm, Xelestia radio and the Argentinian party people?

To keep rocking the dancefloors, and to be very respectful and open minded to music, no matter what style; Beauty is on the road, and you never know what will come next.
