Herbst : Something's coming up

We have invited Herbst as the member of Infinity Sounds for the next episode of our end of the year interview series.We talked to him about his future plans as well as the past 2011 year.

We coming to the end of this year,x-mas is here soon ,how do you prepare for the festive season?

I'm going to buy lots of fine food and hopefully i can finish them all :) There's a lot of work now,and i'm on the road from morning till the next morning.
I could do with some vacation :)

Generally people tend to look into themselves this time of the year and look back on the year as well. What do you think about this?

I have the same feeling too.Was thinking about it as well.Unfortunately this year was not the best for me,but we can learn from our mistakes and start afresh.
And i think we all need low points in our life to appreciate the better times.But of course i had good moments too.

What were the best things that happened to you this year ?

One of the best things that i got into Infinity Sounds,and i moved back to my birthplace Stuttgart.

What's the best thing that you are proud of?

My wife of course,she is always behind me.Without her support i would not be this strong .
Also in my work i could create new connections so hopefully we can start a new party series in Stuttgart.

Tell us more about this party series please.

Can't tell you a lot at the moment.We found a small place here,with a great underground feeling and likeminded people.
There are more and more possibilities at this place so we want to utilise this,but can't tell you more now.But we want to do open air parties as well,when the weather gets better.

You churning out mixes in a great number and you can show different sides of you to the crowd.What defines what you play at the given moment?

Yeah thats right,sometimes i just feel to make even 2-3 mixes a day :) I don't know what really defines what i play ,maybe it depends on the mood,but of course the atmosphere defines it the most.There are times when i can find the perfect music to express myself,and sometimes i find it more difficult.

You have joined Infinity Sounds in october,and you have become a resident one of our special show.What are your plans with the show in the near future?

That should be my surprise to you guys :) But i can tell you that we'll bring that special Stuttgart sound to you.

What about your carrier?

I'm confident now that after this quiet period i'll have a busy one as well.One of my wish is to play in Hungary.

Do you have a new year's resolution?

Of course,every single year.We'll see if it will be realised :)

Last time you had Abel Rivallo as a guest in the Infinity Sounds.Now you've invited De La Maso. What can we expect?

You are very curious .. I can tell that it will be very exciting and i can guarantee that everyone will be pleased,and you might hear mussic you never heard before.

I'm very grateful to everyone who listens to my and my guest's music each month,and the guys who come to my parties.I just wish you all to never lose the love for quality electronic music because it's vital and it has a power to forge communities.If it wasn't for the people then i would not do what i love the best in this world.
